Congratulations to Dorset's Scotty Mitchell who was part of the England 12 man side that retained their title at the Home Internationals at Barkisland, Halifax in Yorkshire over the weekend 4-6th April. In the match against Wales Scott was up against Tony Bradley, a man with a significant number of caps for his country.
Scott won the first 2 legs, but Tony won the next 2 to level the match at 2-2. Scott continued his great form taking the next 2 legs to win the match 4-2 with a 29.85 ave. In the Scotland game Scott was drawn out first against Harry Todman. Keen to get England off to a good start he was extremely nervous, after a shaky start and a few missed doubles he found himself 2-0 down. He regained his composure and fought back to level the match at 2-2, from this point onwards he consistently hit the treble 20 and went on to win the match 4-2 with a 27.64 ave.
