Dorset's Scott Mitchell competed in the BDO's World Trophy event in Blackpool. He was in great form defeating the Canadian qualifier David Cameron in his first round match 6-0 with a 3 dart average of 32.32. In the second round he was up against Cheshire's Darryl Fitton, he continued to keep his average above 30 defeating Darryl 7-2.
In the quarter final he was up against Hartlepool's Paul Jennings, it was a close game, a few missed doubles in the closing stages meant that Scotty lost out 8-10. It was a fantastic performance from Scott as he maintained his 30 average over all 3 games. Full details of all match results and scoresheets can be found on the BDO website.
