Congratulations to Dorset's Scotty Mitchell who was part of the 5 man England side that won the 6 Nations Cup last weekend, in Glenrothes, Scotland. The opening group match saw England beat Republic of Ireland 18-7, the second match ended in a narrow defeat to Scotland 12-13. However England topped the group on a higher leg score to set up a semi-final encounter against Northern Ireland, comfortably winning 13-5.
This then set up the final against the defending Champions, the young guns of the Netherlands. A close battle ensued and with the match score sat at 12-8 to England, up steps Dorset's Scotty Dog against Jan Dekker. With the coolness that we all come to expect, 15 darts later, shooting out on 66, the dart dead centre of double top, England were crowned the 2014 Champions.
